Tiny Diff Limited was created a long time ago, on a Wednesday, on 16 Nov 2011 in London.

When I was choosing the name, I was thinking that I would like to make at least some difference in this world with this company, regardless of how small that difference was. Hence the name “tiny difference”. As that was too long, I decided to make it shorter to “tinydiff”, which could be equally read as diff, differ, diffraction, differential, difficulties, or “diffine” differentiability.

Anyhow, I wanted to do something in the world. I had many ideas, but someone needed to pay the bills, so at least for a while, by providing my IT consultancy services by doing my job as best as I could, would do something good.

After acquiring some stability, I tried pursuing my passion; writing essays as Gris Anik. Essays on philosophy, political and economic systems, and an outlook on the world, always pursuing some better version of it. And in time I gained readers. I was happy, as God was using me as a medium, and in that toil, in that excitement of artistic expression, there is something exhilarating and serene.

But I was hoping for more. I do not know, maybe it was the delusion of an artist seeking fame. I had that notion, like the seagull Jonathan Livingston, saying: “Why do they don't understand? They should spread this everywhere. It is amazing. This is our purpose. This is the way we should live.”

Slowly my happiness faded. Slowly, I got more and more tired, expecting success that never came.

One of the triggers was UK Brexit. It hit me hard, as it was tearing apart the picture of a united world. It seemed that truly the world is changing, and not for the better. It felt like the more I tried to make that tiny difference, for each of my steps forward the world would create two steps back.

Then one day, without even noticing, everything became dull. I lost interest in anything and everything. So I decided I had to change something, I had to remember who I am. I could not overwork myself anymore.
So on 4 Dec 2017, an application to strike the company off the register was submitted, and the process was fully completed on 27 Feb 2018¹, with Tiny Diff being dissolved via voluntary strike-off.

So, if it is dissolved why this page?
Well, maybe as my personal memento, but also with a strange purpose.
Maybe, just maybe, one day, with a very small chance, a stranger will stumble upon these pages and read this history, and then read the home page;
understand what I was trying to do, and become a follower. Not just a follower. They will become part of our tribe!
A tribe that sees a higher human purpose, and knows that we can live without unnecessary, and especially self-inflicted suffering.
And at the end, or rather the beginning, that soul will go and find me, and we will become friends.
Thus, this website and now long gone company will continue fulfilling its purpose of making just a tiny difference in this world. :)
